It will be used to operate the spay/neuter mobile van in the underserved areas of San Miguel County.

The van costs around $2,000.00 per day. About 25 pets can be fixed per day so the average cost is $50.00 per pet. That includes an exam, and needed vaccinations as well as the surgery. In many cases this is the only time the dog or cat will get any medical attention.

The 18th Annual New Mexico's Week for the Animals will be celebrated 17- 23 September, 2017. The importance of spaying and neutering will continue to be our focus in the new year. PAWS is partnering with the Santa Fe Animal Shelter's mobile spay/neuter van, holding low cost spay/neuter clinics in San Miguel County. Call 505- 466-1525 for more information.
